After months of training, blisters and aching limbs, the countdown is well and truly on for this year’s participants of The TCS London Marathon.
Returning runners and wheelchair athletes will experience a fresh route through Canary Wharf, featuring exciting new sights—including the stunning 11-meter Whale on the Wharf (Skyscraper), crafted from five tonnes of plastic ocean waste, seemingly leaping from the dock onto the course. Check out the official route here.
Spectators choosing Wood Wharf as their cheer spot will not only enjoy a view of this striking art installation but can also refuel at local favourites like Dishoom, Patty&Bun, Emilia’s Crafted Pasta, mallow, and Feels Like June.
Looking for a home away from home for the weekend? The newly opened Vertus Edit apart-hotel has a limited number of rooms remaining for the marathon weekend, perfect for a restful pre-race night’s sleep or a post-race recovery.
Whether you’re racing or soaking up the lively atmosphere, Canary Wharf is the place to be for energy, excitement, and community spirit!
