Sustainability

At Canary Wharf, our developments extend beyond the buildings we construct or green spaces we nurture. We strengthen communities, create culture and foster initiatives intended to help both our society and the wider environment.

That’s because we want this thriving London Estate to have real longevity. To stand the test of time, and positively affect the lives of its residents and visitors.

For the past 30 years, we’ve explored ways to make Canary Wharf as sustainable as possible. Our buildings and open spaces have been designed with conservation and connectivity in mind. This approach has helped us to minimise today’s impact and brace for future challenges. We advocate biodiversity, educate people on the thriving wildlife in the area, try to eliminate waste and promote energy efficiency.

As we work to tackle the climate crisis, community remains at the heart of everything we do. We encourage local involvement in all of our efforts.  By working with our tenants, our residents and our Estate, together we are making sustainability real.
