Nature Framed: Canary Wharf Photo Competition Terms and Conditions
  1. The Competition is run by Canary Wharf Group.
  2. Eligibility: This Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) who are 13 years or over, including employees and their immediate families of Canary Wharf Group. Any entrants under 18 years of age must obtain parental consent.
  3. Competition Period: The competition opens at 0:00 on 5 August 2024 and closes at 23:59 on Friday 30 August. Any entries received outside of these times and dates will not be accepted.
  4. Entry Requirements: Internet access and an Instagram account are required to enter. Online entry via Instagram only – all participants must have access to the internet and an active, public Instagram account. If you do not have an Instagram account, you will need to create one in order to participate and you will require an active email address in order to do this. See https://help.instagram.com for support. You’ll need a device for capturing photos such as a smartphone or digital camera.
  5. How to Enter: Upload your photo(s) taken in Canary Wharf to your public Instagram account, tagging @Canarywharflondon and including the hashtag #NatureFramedCW in the caption. Do this and you will be automatically entered into the competition. Please ensure your Instagram profile is set to public during the competition period so that we can view your entry.
  6. Intellectual Property Rights: By participating in the competition, the entrants license and grant Canary Wharf Group exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display such content for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Participants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use where the moral rights in respect of the content are theirs to assert. Participants warrant that the materials contain no copyright materials, are their original works, have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party and they have full authority to grant these rights.
  7. Entry Restrictions: All entries must be made directly by the person entering the Competition. Syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, a script or the use of automated devices or processes are not allowed, and all such entries will be disqualified.
  8. Prize: The prize is a £1,000 gift card to a retailer of the winner’s choice located in Canary Wharf. This will be supplied as a digital gift card. The winner’s email address will need to be obtained by Canary Wharf Group to administer the prize.
  9. Winner Selection: One overall winner will be selected by a panel of judges with at least one independent judge. The criteria for selection will be creativity, quality, and relevance to the theme of nature and biodiversity in Canary Wharf. Additionally, approximately 100 photos will be selected for display in a lobby exhibition located in One Canada Square from September 30 to November 1, 2024.
  10. Winner Notification: Selected entrants will be notified via Instagram within 7 working days of the closing date. At the point of notification, the winners will be asked to supply a valid email address for further communication.
  11. Unclaimed Prizes: In the event a selected entrant does not respond within 7 working days of notification, Canary Wharf Group reserves the right to withdraw their selection and choose an alternative entry.
  12. High Resolution Images: Entrants whose photos is selected as the winner or for prominent display in the exhibition may be contacted via Instagram direct message and asked to provide a high-resolution version of their image via email. This is to ensure the best possible quality for the exhibition prints.
  13. Limitations of Liability: No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Canary Wharf Group does not guarantee continuous uninterrupted or secure access to the website or Instagram. Numerous factors outside the control of the promoter may interfere with the operation of the website or social media platform.
  14. Publicity: The winners agree to reasonable post-event publicity by Canary Wharf Group with no further recompense.
  15. Legal Jurisdiction: Any questions concerning the legal interpretation of these terms & conditions will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
  16. Right to Verify: Canary Wharf Group reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and identity details (which they must provide within 14 days) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the competition and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this Competition’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or won using fraudulent means. Canary Wharf Group will be the final arbiter in any decisions, and these will be binding, and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to this clause.
  17. Relationship to Instagram: This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.   18.
