There’s plenty to do at Canary Wharf this Mother’s Day. With a specially curated collection of experiences for ‘Mum & Me’ held from 23 to 27 March in Jubilee Place, look out for everything from calligraphy workshops and gin cocktail making classes with Bullards Spirits on 24 and 25 March.

Set Sail

Be the captain of the waters and pre-book a one-, two- or three-hour boating experience at GoBoat. The fun, self-drive boating experience begins from Bellmouth Passage where you and your mother – and up to six others – can navigate the beautiful docklands and look up at the spectacular architecture. Cruise past Big Easy and the stunning One Park Drive; and for two or three-hour boat rides, if the weather is nice, why not moor up and treat yourselves to a picnic? Check out M&S Simply Food’s guide for how to picnic like a pro here.

Where To Eat This Mother’s Day

If you’ve yet to check out Hawskmoor Wood Wharf, the eco-friendly floating pavilion in Canary Wharf’s new riverside neighbourhood, Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar, The Lowback, where you can have a pre- or post-dinner drink. The menu options are indulgent; think scallops, smoked salmon, Devon crab, lobster, carpaccio, halibut, monkfish, steak and Chateaubriand. Book your table Book your table here.

Big appetites won’t be disappointed with Ibérica Canary Wharf’s Mothering Sunday offering, a seven-course seasonal menu featuring some of the restaurant’s iconic tapas dishes including its jamón croquetas, Spanish cheeses and cured meats and lamb shoulder to share, to name but a few, while no Spanish feast would be complete without its churros and chocolate. Book here.
