Dog-friendly destinations in Canary Wharf
From malls to restaurants, daytime destinations to wining and dining with four-legged friends, Canary Wharf is not only ideal for hosting humans, but welcoming their canine companions as well. From a walk in the park to hound-friendly haunts, here’s what you need to know.
Out and about with canine companions
The beauty of Canary Wharf is that it’s a whole ecosystem for enjoying everyday life, from beautiful places to walk and enjoy the great outdoors, interacting with nature, and enjoyable shopping destinations whether you’re picking up the groceries or indulging in a little retail therapy. As a nation of dog-lovers, what would that ecosystem be without space for our canine companions? From dog-friendly malls to the best places for a pootle with your pup, here’s where to go, stay, shop, and eat on the Wharf.
Dog-friendly shopping malls
With five shopping malls featuring more than 300 retailers, all within a 15-minute walk of one another, Canary Wharf’s shops have a reputation for offering everything from luxuries to everyday conveniences. The perfect way to combine entertainment and exercise with furry friends, or get those steps in while you go about purchasing life’s necessities, all Canary Wharf malls are now dog-friendly. Cabot Place, Canada Place, Churchill Place, Crossrail Place and Jubilee Place welcome pets, just as long as they remain well-behaved and on their leads.
A walk in the park
Canary Wharf’s parks and open spaces are amongst its most unique and prized features, and arguably no one is more delighted by them than our resident and visiting pets. Much like their owners, dogs find inspiration watching the world go by at the Eden Dock waterfront oasis, strolling amongst the trees in Jubilee Park, chasing a ball in the gardens of Westferry Circus, or walking along the river at Harbour Quay.

Dog-friendly food and drink destinations
Dining out is one of life’s great pleasures, only to be improved upon with the company of our favourite friends – regardless of their species. Knowing that many of our top ‘people’ to spend time with are the ‘pawfect’ kind, many of the Wharf’s food and drink destinations not only welcome pets, but go out of their way to make sure they are also greeted in style. Here are some of our favourites.
Roe
Living by their nose-to-tail and root-to-stem ethos, Roe is an elegant eatery named after native deer of the British Isles. Championing modest, British ingredients, they serve rare breed meats, carefully sourced fish from the British Isles, and regenerative crops like Wild farmed native grain. The restaurant is dog-friendly, and they’re now enhancing that welcome with the recent launch of a doggy menu serving canine fare from chicken and beef meals to Dirty Dogtinis, Woof & Brew Rose ‘Wine’, Woof & Brew Dog ‘Beer’, and classic ‘puppuccinos’.
Black Sheep Coffee
On South Colonnade, Black Sheep Coffee is known for its ethically sourced and flavourful coffee from around the world. Each bean has a story to tell, whether you’re buying speciality fare to take home or having your caffeine on the go. Their shops are dog-friendly, whether pups want to sit and watch the world go by while you sip, or help you set off on a jog around the estate fuelled by that morning boost.
BrewDog Canary Wharf
The leaders in craft beer at BrewDog, are well known for being one of the best places for boozy lunches with friends, laid back celebrations, and a pint after work or at the weekend. With a name like that you can’t really help but welcome four-legged friends, and they do so with enthusiasm, inviting dogs to enjoy their K9 water stations as well as dog menus with dog ‘beer’, Punk IPA biscuits and dog-friendly sorbet. Their favourite furry visitors will even make it onto the Paws of Fame wall and officially become a big dog on campus. As if that wasn’t enough, they sell dog merchandise including bedding and clothing, and have the option to host dog ‘pawties’. For just £6 per pup you’ll get party hats, a card, a dog-friendly ice cream sundae and the bar will make a £1 donation to the dog charity Street Paws as well.

Bringing easy, breezy California vibes to London, Feels Like June is the perfect place for brunch, mezze, light bites and evening meals with Europe-meets-West Coast flair. There’s something for everyone at all hours of the day, and their relaxed atmosphere is the perfect place to chill out with your pup. The dog-friendly spot delights in welcoming pets to join in the fun – just don’t go sneaking your steak under the table for crafty canines – no matter how much they beg!
Garbanzos
Known for turning chickpeas into imaginative and delicious dishes, Garbanzos is the Spanish supernova delivering falafel from their kiosk in Reuters Plaza. A culinary gem that’s ideal for food on the go, it’s the perfect mid-walk stop. Fresh, Mediterranean and healthy, pick up a pita, wrap, or hummus plate, and tuck in with your dog in tow.
Gaucho
At Westferry Circus you can enjoy the famous South American sophistication of Gaucho, complete with riverside views and superb steak. Popular for serving the juiciest cuts of Black Angus beef, their terrace is a favourite dining destination throughout the day in the summer months, whether you’re enjoying time to yourself, with family, friends, or colleagues. Dogs are welcome as long as they keep it classy, stay on the floor and on the lead. There’s a hydration station to make sure four-legged guests feel as refreshed as their owners after their visit.
Island Poké
Bringing fresh, authentic Hawaiian poké bowls to London, Island Poké in the mall at Crossrail Place is all about laid-back vibes and an island state of mind. Tuck into delicious fare throughout the day. It’s the perfect place for a healthy lunch while you’re out and about with your canine companion.

The welcoming atmosphere, dog-loving proprietors and variety of places to sit make it a dining destination to enjoy with your pet.
Catalinas London
Within MMy Wood Wharf, Catalina’s London is a family-friendly Mexican street food favourite, serving home-style fare that’s full of flavour. Alongside a delicious menu of homemade guacamole, chips, salsa, nachos and more, they deliver a tail-wagging, dedicated dog dining experience by Talula Eats. Fast and fresh, Sticks’n’Sushi is the place for everything from traditional sushi to yakitori sticks from the grill, all served in Scandinavian-style surroundings. Their location at Crossrail Place is a haven for high quality food without complication, complete with vegetarian dishes, kid’s options, and a variety of salads. Dogs are welcome in many of their locations, including Canary Wharf, but they ask that you let them know in advance when you make a reservation and that they keep their paws on the floor… however tempting what’s on the table might be.
Paris Baguette
Bringing French flair to the Wharf, along with excellent pastries, the aptly named Paris Baguette champions the best baked goods from across The Channel from sweet treats to savoury sandwiches. Their tasty tarts are now available at Jubilee Place, and while you tuck into your coffee and cake, dogs are welcomed with a fresh water bowl, delicious dog treats, and a ‘puppuccino’ to make sure their visit is just as delightful as yours.
Humble Grape
A waterside wine bar on Mackenzie Walk, Humble Grape is a firm favourite for elegant lunches, light bites, and evenings with friends or colleagues. Serving wines from small, sustainable, independent vineyards, alongside beautiful sharing platters and dishes, there’s space to sit inside and out, and dogs are welcome to join either way. Staff are always delighted to make a fuss of visiting pets, all they ask is “the same of our four-legged friends as we do our two: behave appropriately in public, don’t make any one feel awkward, no peeing on the floor and don’t dance on the tables.”
