The letting to Objectway is another great example that demonstrates the flexibility and simplicity on offer with our MadeFor: workspaces. Having taken inspiration from our show suite in One Canada Square, Canary Wharf Group were soon tasked by Objectway to deliver a fully fitted unit bespoke to their exact requirements. Driving the relocation to One Canada Square was a hard-stop deadline; Objectway had to vacate their existing premises and take occupation no later than March 2023.

Sustainability was a key factor during the construction and design stages. Prior to negotiations with Objectway the unit was earmarked to be delivered speculatively; the floorplate was designed carefully to appeal to a wide cross-section of office customers yet also allowing ample opportunities to make alterations and customisations. Existing materials such as class partitions, doors and lighting, all of which were in perfect working order, were also retained during demolition, repurposed and rehomed.

Over the last couple of years, rising construction costs and interest rates as well as supply-chain issues have all contributed to the ambiguity facing office occupiers. Whilst some organisations have cemented their return-to-work plans, some are still grappling to find the balance offered by hybrid working.
