LBO Lichtbank: Lightbenches 'Classic'

Created by German design duo Heidi and Bernd Spiecker, the ten benches are illuminated through a programmed sequence, adding a new dimension to the experience of taking the weight of your feet. The Lightbenches were launched as part of the Festival of Lights in Berlin in 2011.
Describing these and their “P.H.A.S. – Please Have A Seat” installations, Bernd says: ‘the emotional interaction of light and colours should get the park bench out of its conventional context and open up a new perception of these objects to the viewer.
