Emily Dickens and Zopa, changing the face of banking for customers in the UK
For Emily Dickens, Head of People Experience at Zopa Bank, Canary Wharf is more than a financial district – it’s a place where ambition and growth are reflected in every corner. “Canary Wharf matches our ambition. Like our business, they’re growing in an exciting way and doing things differently,” she explains.
Choosing the right workspace is about more than just location – it’s about alignment with vision. “Part of my job is finding an office that reflects the level we’re at today. Canary Wharf matches our ambition perfectly.” The skyline, the energy, and the new developments all contribute to a sense of excitement. “Looking out on the Canary Wharf skyline, it feels like we’ve joined the who’s who of money – but from a very different viewpoint. I love that. So much exists under the surface at Canary Wharf.”
The part of the Wharf Zopa calls home is new, vibrant, and full of possibility. “The part of the Wharf we’re in is a very new area. It’s exciting. It’s full of ambition. It’s growing.” Emily draws parallels between Zopa’s culture and the area itself. “Zopa is a very talented group of individuals who have the ambition to grow the business. There’s a good energy here. I joined as a collection’s administrator, speaking to customers, 14 years ago. And now I own the workplace experience for an organisation of almost 1,000 people. That tells you everything you need to know about how Zopa supports people.”
Canary Wharf also offers flexibility and adaptability, tailoring experiences to the people who live and work there – much like Zopa itself. “Canary Wharf offers something different. It feels like the area we’re moving to is being built up and being tailored to the tenants and people who work and live in the area. And that’s what Zopa is doing too, trying to tailor experiences to exactly what people need in the future.”
For Emily, the move to Canary Wharf is full of promise. “I’m excited to move to Canary Wharf. There’s so much to do and explore there.”
With its growing skyline, forward thinking developments, and energy for innovation, Canary Wharf proves it’s a place where ambition lives, talent grows, and businesses like Zopa can flourish.
