For example, amongst their drinks suppliers there are those that use ingredients nearing the end of their life by freezing, drying and macerating them to reduce waste. Suppliers recycle, use motion sensor taps and some turn used cooking oils into biodiesel. Even their Sapling Vodka takes things up a notch, planting one tree for every bottle sold, resulting in significant carbon absorption and emissions reduction.

In addition, Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion, made from sustainably sourced timber decking and aluminium extracted from hydro sources. It has a green roof planted with wildflowers and grasses, to encourage visits from insects and bees and is primarily powered by energy from Canary Wharf’s Combined Heat and Power network to help lower the impact on the environment.
