Fusing his British and Nigerian heritage artist Yinka Ilori has designed an eye-catching and vibrant 3×3 basketball court unique to Canary Wharf, the court is free to use and open daily.
3 x3 basketball is played in a three aside format with one hoop. You’re welcome to bring your own ball to play anytime between 12-9pm daily. We will also be able to provide balls to use free of charge between 12-6pm daily, just ask our event steward onsite. The court will operate on a first come, first served basis.
Yinka Ilori is a London based multidisciplinary artist of a British-Nigerian heritage who is known for his bold and colourful designs. Learn more about Yinka Ilori and the this one of a kind basketball court installation ‘Be The Best You Can Be’
It’s free to play, so come and see our event stewards who will be able to provide you with a ball to play.
Following current government guidelines, we will be limiting the number of players on the court at once, with a first come first served system. We will not be allowing any large groups use of the court and ask people play in their household units where possible. Ball’s will be disinfected between player use. You may be asked to queue for your turn, we ask you always remain at a safe distance from other players and follow the guidance of our event stewards onsite to help.
Note, you may find the court closed in inclement weather.
There will be some exceptions to our basketball opening times for our charity events. During the first two weeks of August my AFK will be taking over Bank Street Basketball to host a series of charity events. If would like to sign up now to register your interest in the corporate competition then please email my AFK at email@example.com
