Where to Watch on the Wharf

The sun’s out and sport is being celebrated in abundance this summer, from the Euros to Wimbledon and all the way to the Paris Olympics.

Kicking off with the Euros, Germany will be hosting a major men’s football tournament for the first time since the 2006 World Cup. Into the next round and July brings all the excitement of Wimbledon – can Marketa Vondrousova and Carlos Alcaraz defend their titles? Arguably the pinnacle sporting event of the year takes place in Paris with the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics keeping us glued to our screens all the way into September.

From pints to picnics, big screens to private parties, parks to picture perfect outdoor terraces and a few special offers for good measure there’s something for everyone when you watch it all play out on the Wharf.

The Euros

Football fans will be in their element from 14 June – 14 July as the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship takes place across Germany. Get into the spirit of things at Brera Lounge by turning up in your country’s football kit to get your first pint on the house. Groups can book a private screening in the dining room at Hawksmoor Bar. Alternatively, celebrate with a bundle of beer and shooters at Rocket on Churchill Place or enjoy a multicultural array of foodie favourites at Wharf Kitchen.

Wimbledon

From 1-14 July, Wimbledon will return to our screens with all the promise of plenty of tournament excitement, drama and picture-perfect picnic opportunities. Watch the action on our Summer Screens, with fantastic balcony views at The Ivy in the Park or Oasis Bar & Terrace. Otherwise indulge in unlimited pizza and drinks at Gallio, the Wharf’s Mediterranean restaurant found in the Atrium Kitchen.

Olympics and Paralympics

Paris is poised for what is arguably the biggest sporting event of the year. The first Olympics and Paralympics to be held in Europe since London 2012 promises spectacular plans for the opening complete with a flotilla along the Seine. Don’t miss a beat with the outdoor entertainment and HD screens in Canary Wharf, watching on Summer Screens in Canada Square Park with a grab-and-go picnic from nearby Atis or Bread&Truffle. Alternatively, the aptly named Sports Bar & Grill will be showing the games on their HD screens alongside cocktails and all-day-dining.
