Pretty Ballerinas is a brand of ballerinas and flat shoes made by hand since 1918 using only the finest materials. Each shoe shape is named after a female screen or music icon to help customers remember which shape suits them best.
Pretty Ballerinas opened its first boutique at 34 Brook Street in Mayfair, London in February 2007, followed by stores in Pont Street, Belgravia and Threadneedle Street. The year after saw the first retail outlets in continental Europe with two stores being opened in “Barrio Salamanca” the most famous shopping district of Madrid.
In 2009 Pretty Ballerinas launched its “pretty young princess” collection – versions of its ballerinas aimed at the younger customer. Pretty Ballerinas is known for its huge array of styles and colours and the unusual way materials are combined. The stores are designed like tiny chocolate boxes with signature details of French antique gilt mirrors and chandeliers, pink shelving and leopard print sofas.
