Say it with sushi: Sticks’n’Sushi Canary Wharf

A stylish take on the urban sushi experience, settle into the Scandinavian surroundings of Sticks’n’Sushi for delicious Japanese dishes. For Valentine’s Day they’re serving up a dedicated Koibito Menu for Two, so you can celebrate the person you love (‘koibito’) with a specially curated four-course meal. Tuck into freshly prepared sushi and hot-off-the-grill favourites, including a selection of signature appetisers, nigiri, house rolls, and sticks of Aka Ebi and Wagyu Yaki. The meal is complete with an indulgent dark chocolate fondant with a matcha core, served with vanilla ice cream and a matcha cookie crumble. You can even take things up a notch with their limited-edition For The Sake of Love cocktail, blending sake with hibiscus mezcal and raspberry cordial. The Koibito Menu is available from 13th to 16th February from £150.

Burning love: ROKA

Specialising in Japanese robatayaki cuisine and premium sushi, with dramatic views of the city skyline, ROKA is an experience that’s made to be shared. Their signature fireside-cooking is both a culinary experience and a visual feast, especially when you combine one of their tasting menus, topped off with their dedicated Valentine’s dessert platter and cocktail, the Lipstick Rose, inspired by the femmes fatales and iconic movie stars of the 1940s. Meanwhile, their iconic ‘shochu wall’ will be decorated for the occasion, creating the perfect, Instagrammable backdrop for your Valentine’s celebrations. They will even capture the occasion with a Polaroid snapshot for every couple to take home.

Let love bloom at mallow, where a passion for plant-based fare has turned seasonal and sustainable dishes into a delicious art form. In a space that’s picture perfect, enjoy a Valentine’s Day menu that’s inspired by the romance of Italy’s two iconic cities, Rome and Venice. Enjoy six courses for £60 per person, from warm rosemary focaccia drizzled with citrus almond pesto, to grilled asparagus draped with creamy dressing, fresh wild mushroom filled ravioli, and semolina coated Roman artichokes in a saffron cream, to a dessert of light set vanilla elderflower infused custard with poached rhubarb, topped off with a tiramisu chocolate cup. Love story: Humble Grape

Masters of a great glass of wine, Humble Grape are well known for their chic waterside location and their talent for serving a superb vintage with perfectly paired food. This year they are putting their vault of viticulture knowledge into a Valentine’s Day experience, with a five-course set menu for only £50 per person, available on 14th and 15th February, complete with the opportunity to purchase wines that have their own little love story in their shop. The menu features a parmesan madeleine to start, followed by a selection of starters and mains, and a choice of desserts including chocolate fondant, lemon peel madeleines or dark chocolate mousse. Finish with a hazelnut choux for total indulgence.

A love affair to remember: The Ivy in The Park

Bringing the Art Deco majesty of the famous Ivy brand to the Wharf, The Ivy in The Park invites you to enjoy their sparkling environment overlooking Canada Square whilst tucking into their classic menu of dishes featuring British favourites and Asian-inspired cuisine. Over Valentine’s Day they go all out, inviting you to enjoy their stylish surroundings complete with a Valentine’s Day menu and special cocktails.
