It finally feels like a Canary Wharf summer as the sun comes out and a host of activities, entertainment, pop-up events and more maximise the neighbourhood experience every day of the week. From the return of our ever-popular Summer Screens in Canada Square Park, to a roster of musical and theatrical performances thanks to Alfresco Arts and the renaissance of The Lunch Market at Montgomery Square, there’s something for every occasion, mood and day of the week. Here are 10 of the top things to do in Canary Wharf this June. 

  1. Fun in the fresh air

    With more than 16 acres of green and open spaces there’s a wealth of fun things to do in Canary Wharf while enjoying the great outdoors. Enjoy your own yoga practice in one of the parks or a jog along the riverside boardwalk at Harbour Quay, enjoy free pop-up ping pong at Montgomery Square between midday and 6pm and a colourful take on miniature golf for all ages thanks to artists Craig Redman & Karl Maier.

  2. Celebrate Pride on the Wharf

    We’re looking forward to a month-long celebration of inclusivity and diversity as Pride Month comes to the Wharf, complete with an array of art, movies, theatre and children’s workshops for fantastic things to do with kids in Canary Wharf throughout June. We’re looking forward to a whole host of things to do in Canary Wharf for free this month, for example, artist, author, filmmaker and educator Fox Fisher’s Pride & Joy brings their mural and colouring sheets at Crossrail Place Roof Garden, and there’s a showing of the Wizard of Oz in Canada Square Park.

  3. Alfresco Arts

    Discover Alfresco Arts summer events at Canary Wharf, taking place across the neighbourhood’s green spaces and with a vibrant display of talent from the Pride special, Hits and Pieces: Heroes on 12th June to Wuthering Heights in July. There’s also the return of Lunchtime Classicals, sit back and enjoy an array of classical music from the Docklands Sinfonia in Jubilee Park on Wednesdays 12th and 26th June.

    The Wharf’s summer Film Club is in full swing throughout June, July and August, bringing you everything from Bollywood or Hollywood in Canada Square Park.
