Under the third national lockdown, Canary Wharf remains open for essential stores with Covid-secure measures in place such as a one-way system with directional signage, sanitising stations and floor markings to enable a safe social distance throughout. Although non-essential retail has closed, essential stores are still operating, offering a safe shopping experience. Canary Wharf’s supermarkets – Waitrose & Partners, Marks & Spencer Simply Food and Tesco Metro – are open as usual, and visitors can also pick up a bottle or two from wine merchants Nicolas Wine Merchant or Humble Grape.

All Boots pharmacies across the three malls Cabot Place, Canada Place and Jubilee Place, are open for business, as is health food shop Holland & Barrett in One Canada Place and Jubilee Place and Get A Drip in Cabot Place.

Meanwhile it is important that patients can, and should, continue to attend their health and dental care appointments, so for routine checks or any other concerns, visit Bupa Health and Dental Centre, Smilepod in Canada Place and Jubilee Place  or Babylon Healthcare. For back, joint and general healthcare enquiries, head to Freedom Clinics or Pure Sports Medicine, which specialises in sports and musculoskeletal treatments. You can also seek alternative healthcare support at Le Chalet Cryo, which offers whole body cryotherapy sessions.

Opticians are operating as normal including Vision Express, David Clulow in Cabot Place and Jubilee Place, and Tom Davies, as are Canary Wharf’s banks and financial services Ace-FX, Barclays Bank, Halifax, HSBC in Canada Place and Jubilee Place, Lloyds Bank, NatWest and Santander.

Other stores that remain open are the bicycle repair shop NipNip, Robert Dyas, James Shoe Care, City of London Dry Cleaners and the Post Office. Finally, click and collect is open at Currys PC World and Watches of Switzerland, while virtual appointments are also available at David M Robinson.

While passing through the Estate for your essential shopping, be sure to admire the Connected by Light installation, a specially curated collection of luminous light artworks that are sure to brighten up any day. And with many of Canary Wharf’s restaurants offering delivery and collection takeaway services, why not pick up a bite to eat on your way home or order from the comfort of your sofa?

* 3 hours’ free parking is available every day to anyone who spends £10 in any of our shops, cafés and restaurants, until 28 February 2021. Ask for your ticket to be validated at point of purchase and use in the pay-on-foot machines before returning to your car.
