Inspired by old Havana architecture and the opulence of 1950s hotel bars in the Cuban capital, Bar Bolivar is an eclectic bar in the heart of Canary Wharf.
The cradle of modern cocktail culture, Havana is home to greats such as the Daiquiri and the Mojito. Bars start slinging at midday every day, and don’t stop until their Cantineros (bartenders) have sailed through nearly 70 bottles of rum a day.
Frequented by greats such as Ernest Hemingway, Nat King Cole and Marlene Dietrich, these bars were the source of inspiration for much of the creative genius of the decade. Bar Bolivar brings you the vibrant lifestyle of Havana’s hay-day, served up with small plates from award-winning Venezuelan street-food pair, Pabellon, an ode to the two countries longstanding relationship.
Bar Bolivar is from the team who brought you the bars behind Pop Brixton and Vinegar Yard, MJMK, and is inspired by co-founder Jake’s childhood in Cuba. Bar Bolivar is a place where you can forget the reality of London, and escape to where the sun is always shining.
