Explore your musical creativity through ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’
Pianos are dotted throughout Canary Wharf’s open spaces, parks, malls and waterfront areas acting as a musical canvas to inspire and produce spontaneous creativity! Inspirationally decorated by local, national and international artists both music and art fanatics will be inspired by this fun and quirky installation.
Part of an international touring artwork devised by British artist Luke Jerram, this project has seen over a thousand pianos installed in forty cities worldwide and played by over 6 million people spanning the globe from New York to London. Each new city that commissions the work becomes part of a growing legacy, one which will be continued by Canary Wharf Arts + Events, as at the end of the project a number of the pianos will be donated to local charities and community groups. See Donated pianos & their new locations for information on those already donated.
As the name suggests, the pianos are there to be played so get your creative juices flowing and visit all the pianos!
Note: Our pianos will be retired in December 2018, however we are delighted to announce we will be commissioning some brand new pianos which will be arriving in Canary Wharf in March 2019. Please check the website nearer the time to find out more about our new pianos and locations.
