An outdoor exhibition from Jeroen Swolfs
Dutch photographer Jeroen Swolfs spent seven years travelling the world and photographing the street life of 195 capital cities.
The result is Streets of the World, an amazing outdoor exhibition of 195 photo prints, a positive visual story of human connection and an intriguing glimpse of everyday life around the globe. Travel through the continents of Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and Oceania as you make your way through the exhibition at Canary Wharf and gain a fascinating insight into how our fellow humans live today.
The exhibition covers the entire Estate and can be discovered at your leisure and in any order, simply download the map to help you guide your way. However, to get the most out of this fantastic event we recommend you start with the huge prints at Canary Riverside. There you can download the World Video Walk, a series of short films created by the photographer himself which gives insight into 10 of the photographs in the exhibition. Simply download to your phone or tablet to discover the fascinating hidden tales behind the people who have been captured, from a bookseller in Baghdad to an escaped penguin in Georgia.
Streets of the World has been shown in Dubai and Amsterdam, the exhibition at Canary Wharf is its UK premiere. www.streetsoftheworld.com
