A celebration to commemorate 100 years since the first women gained the right to vote
Join us for a special evening of music and inspiration as we celebrate and commemorate 100 years since the first women in the UK gained the right to vote.
Presented by Sharon D Clarke MBE, British theatre and television actress and singer, narrating the struggles of some of the most inspiring figures in the fight for female equality, live performances of some of the greatest songs written by female artists will celebrate the inspirational women of the last century and mark and reflect the continuing struggle for gender equality worldwide.
The band will accompany West End performers, Jenna Lee James and Vivienne Ekwulugo on songs by Nina Simone, Florence Welch, Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys. From the inspirational ‘Respect’, through to the poignant ‘A Change is Gonna Come’, join us in celebrating the phenomenal women of the last 100 years.
