Canary Wharf’s Country Music Festival
Now a well-established trendsetter on the country music scene, Nashville Meets London brings you the best in emerging musical talent, showcasing both established artists and budding stars, from both the UK and the US.
This year, we’re featuring music from exciting new UK acts, British Country Music’s Duo of the Year 2018, Foreign Affairs, West End regular turned country star, Twinnie, and country rock artist Robert Vincent. Bridging the gap between the UK and the US is Sarah Darling, who was born in the US but considers the UK her ‘home away from home’, and has developed a distinct and contemporary sound that fuses together influences from both sides of the Atlantic. Representing the US is former Glee cast member and America’s Got Talent semi-finalist, Noah Guthrie, who first brought his talent to the stage with NML’s Pizza Express series last year.
Headlining the show is the amazing Lauren Alaina, who captured America’s hearts when she competed on Season 10 of American Idol. Having released her debut album, ‘Wildflower’ in 2017 which shot to no. 1, she followed it up with ‘Road Less Travelled’, which landed multiple ‘Best Of’ lists including Billboard, Rolling Stone and Amazon, and became the top-streamed female country album release of the year.
The ‘sassy Southerner with killer pipes’ has shared the stage with superstars including Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, and is currently touring with Jason Aldearn on his High Noon Neon Tour. She is this year’s ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year and is one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. Having raked in two CMT Music Awards, nominations for CMA New Artist of the Year, several Teen Choice Awards and a Radio Disney Music Awards, Lauren Alaina is blasting her way to the top in country music.
With such an amazing line-up of the freshest talent country music has to offer, Nashville Meets London 2019 is going to be one festival you just can’t miss.
