Part of our Migrateful Cookery Classes

Migrateful is a cookery and language initiative where asylum seekers, refugees and migrants struggling to access employment in the UK, teach their traditional cuisines to the public.

IRANIAN LUNCH – 1 DISH

Learn how to cook an authentic dish from Iran in this informal group cooking classes. This class will be taught by an Iranian chef who is working with Migrateful, a social enterprise who empower and celebrate refugees and vulnerable migrants on their journey to integration by supporting them to run their own cookery classes.

During the class participants will work as a group to prepare dishes to be served family-style. Some dishes are prepared by the chef and demonstrated, while some dishes will have you preparing it from beginning to end, while learning our chef’s authentic techniques from their home country. These classes are aimed at those who are interested in learning international recipes, practising a different language and meeting new people for a cultural exchange, as well as to those wishing to support migrants and refugees struggling to rebuild their lives.

Once you have cooked your meal you’ll be invited to sit down and eat alongside the chef. Water will be provided with your meal but if you wish to drink anything else then we are happy for you to bring your own. Please also bring along containers if you’d like to take home any left overs.

All proceeds from the classes will go to the charity Migrateful
