Canary Wharf’s Approach to Environmentally Responsible Development
Canary Wharf takes its Environmental Responsibility seriously and has developed an Environmental Management System (ISO 14001 certified) covering all aspects of our business activity, to minimise the environmental impact of buildings and the estate.
The Canary Wharf Estate with its 20 acres of parks and open spaces, as well as underground parking and servicing of buildings, has achieved the
lowest emission levels of the main business district in Central London.
Canary Wharf is at the forefront of highly sustainable construction. Our latest developments have achieved
26% CO2 reductions
over current Building Regulations and are the most sustainable buildings of their type in Central London. On future developments such as 25 Churchill Place, we are aiming to achieve CO2 reductions of between
30-35%
