The Limehouse Link Tunnel and The Highway provide access to the City and the West End. The Blackwall and Rotherhithe Tunnels provide a link across the river to south London.

Canary Wharf has 6,000 car parking spaces of which 2,500 are provided within public car parks. Canary Wharf also provides pedal and motor cycle parking at several locations.

Canary Wharf is well served by taxis with a total of 11 taxi ranks that operate 24 hours a day.


Notifications of planned road closures on the Estate will appear here. Note also that these can occur at short notice however, every effort will be made to update this information when known.

From 12midnight on Friday 20 January until 5am on Monday 23 January: In order to facilitate a crane operation to the east of the Estate, there will be a number of phased closures during the weekend 21-22 January:

  • Cartier Circle entry lanes, the westbound carriage way of Churchill Place and the Churchill Place turning point will be closed between 12midnight on Friday 20 January until 5am on Monday 23 January
  • Churchill Place east bound lanes will also be closed between 12midnight on Friday 20 January and 9am on Saturday 21 January and from 12midnight on Sunday 22 January until 5am on Monday 23 January.

ONGOING BANK STREET CLOSURES*: Due to ongoing construction projects, the western end of Bank Street will remain closed to vehicular traffic until further notice. Both lanes of the Westferry Circus southern ramp have now reopened to traffic following services diversion works; TfL have been advised and have amended their bus routes in order to service the Estate.
