Canada Square Park comes alive with music and celebration as we present our outdoor live music concerts this summer
As the RAF prepares to commemorate its centenary, Heroes of The Skies will combine music, narration and on-screen archive to create a superb entertainment experience recounting the key moments in the Royal Air Force’s history. The event will be hosted and narrated by Colin McGregor, brother of actor Ewan and a former RAF Tornado fighter pilot with over 20 years’ experience. He will be joined on stage by a full military big band, comprising 21 musicians from across the armed forces. They will be performing classic music associated with the RAF including The Dambusters Theme; 633 Squadron, Battle Of Britain March and Colonel Bogey, through to swing classics including In The Mood, Moonlight Serenade and more. In association with the Imperial War Museum the event will also feature archive footage and stills from 100 years of the Royal Air Force.
