Take part in our brand new Corporate Challenge on ice!
Curling is coming to Ice Rink Canary Wharf, Luminocity, supported by the English Curling Association. Sixteen teams of four will battle it out for the Canary Wharf Curling Championship trophy. If the trophy is not enough then the winning team will also receive a £500 bar tab to be used at the onsite rink bar. If you want to know your hack from a pebble can, then now is your chance to find out!
Curling is a fun and challenging game combining physical and mental skill. It is one of the few sports where all ages, genders and abilities can play together and against each other. Two teams take turns to deliver stones down the ice attempting to get closer to the centre of the target or ‘house’, than their opponents. When all sixteen stones have been played, an ‘end’ of curling is complete. A team scores one point for each stone which is closer to the centre of the house than any of the opposition’s stones. Everybody can take part and you don’t need to be able to skate.
